Brookridge Microshades Brunnea (M65)
Brookridge
Euroclass B Fire-Rated Timber Cladding for Modern Façades
Specifying timber cladding has become more complex, with increasing pressure to meet fire regulations, durability requirements, and design expectations.
Brookridge Microshades Brunnea (M65) has been developed to meet these demands — combining enhanced fire performance with the natural appeal of timber.
Brookridge Timber has achieved Euroclass B-s2,d0 reaction to fire classification on this factory-treated European Redwood cladding, enabling its use in more demanding specification environments.
Why Specify Brookridge Microshades Brunnea (M65)?
• Euroclass B fire rating
Supports compliance on projects with stricter fire performance requirements
• 30-year warranty
Protection against rot and fungal decay (above ground use)
• Factory-applied system
Controlled treatment process ensures consistent quality and performance
• Wide choice of profiles and sizes
Flexible range of profiles, board widths, and lengths to suit different design requirements and installation methods
• Low maintenance cladding solution
Designed to reduce long-term maintenance and lifecycle costs
• UV-stable colour finish
Brunnea tone enhanced with UV inhibitors for longer-lasting appearance
• Natural timber aesthetic
Combines performance with a warm, architectural finish
Engineered for Performance
Brookridge Microshades Brunnea (M65) is manufactured using a micronised preservative treatment, allowing protection to penetrate deep into the timber structure.
This provides:
• Consistent protection throughout the board
• Improved durability compared to surface-applied systems
• Reduced risk of early failure in exposed conditions
When combined with correct detailing and installation, it delivers a reliable and robust cladding solution.
Available Grades
To suit different project requirements and budgets:
3–4 Sides Clear (A+)
• Minimal knots (max. ~18mm, typically one per metre)
• Clean, consistent appearance
• Ideal for high-end residential and commercial schemes
Unsorted (A Grade)
• More natural character with larger knots (up to ~40mm)
• Cost-effective option for larger or less visually critical elevations
Both grades are:
• Sustainably sourced
• Imported from Scandinavia
• Manufactured to CE quality standards
• Available in lengths typically from 2.1m to 4.8m+
Specification Considerations
• Suitable for external cladding applications (above ground)
• Independently tested to achieve Euroclass B-s2,d0 reaction to fire
• Natural timber will weather over time, with colour variation depending on exposure
