Canvey Island Retail Park is a bustling shopping area with high foot traffic throughout the day. To accommodate shoppers and visitors, they decided to install street furniture by Broxap.

Working with Readie Construction, Broxap's Coventry Cantilever Cycle Shelter was installed along with Sheffield Cycle Stands to encourage people to use bicycles as a mode of transport. Powder coated in Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016) for a sleek and modern look, the canopy provided a sheltered and convenient place for people to park their bikes while shopping or running errands.

The Semi Domed Sheffield Stainless Steel Bollards and Fold Down Stainless Steel Posts were installed to control traffic and prevent accidents in the area. They were strategically placed by parking bays and in front of shops to keep people and vehicles safe.

A number of our Stainless-Steel Hooded Apollo Bins were provided to keep the area clean and tidy. These bins have a uniquely designed ‘Stub It’ cigarette disposal feature to help keep litter off the streets and a large 80-litre capacity for less frequent emptying. The bins were placed at regular intervals and designed to blend in with the modern look of the retail park.

Tree grilles were also installed to protect the trees in the outdoor shopping area from damage caused by foot traffic and vehicles. Broxap’s Cast Iron ’Sunburst’ Tree Grilles allow water and air to reach the trees’ roots while preventing soil erosion and compaction.

The street furniture designed and manufactured by Broxap was a great success and improved the quality of life for shoppers and visitors to the area.
