Type of works: supply of ALUCOBOND® naturAL.

Dating back to the 70s, the Bull Educational Centre needed to be completely renovated, with a more modern and dynamic appearance, conforming with today’s values.

Axel Schoenert Associates Architects (ASAA) was entrusted with the styling, with a view to improving the spatial planning and surroundings both inside and out.

Bull’s wish was a façade that was as reminiscent as possible of the colour of pure steel, in order to create an impression of a high-tech and modern lifestyle but was in keeping with the urban architecture at the same time.

The architects’ office, ‘Le cabinet ASAA’, sought the most suitable material, aware of the fact that pure steel would pose problems such as mounting difficulties, shaping inconsistencies to the curves of the building, corrosion and maintenance.

These constraints have been avoided, thereby scrupulously respecting Bull’s expectations by using ALUCOBOND® naturAL.

The result was a robe of aluminium composite panels, protecting against the adverse effects of corrosion and dotted with aesthetic sunrays for more comfort.

2 000m² of ALUCOBOND® naturAL Brushed were able to be restyled, presenting all the attributes wished for with this type of project: suppleness, rigidity, resistance to weathering, and with a coating of varnish, ensuring top-quality protection against corrosion.

All these attributes culminated to an aesthetically pleasing and durable project evident today.
