Following a large extension to our canopies and shelters range in 2010, Autopa’s canopies are proving highly popular across many sectors.

Over recent months Autopa have manufactured many shelters and canopies from our standard ranges but, have also had a high request for bespoke canopies which we have been able to manufacture and install. With in-house manufacturing facilities in Rugby, Warwickshire we offer a bespoke service to meet site requirements.

From initial site survey, to determine site specific requirements, through to completed installation, Autopa strive to provide attention to detail and efficient customer service with our dedicated sales office.

Our latest project was for a bespoke ‘Harlequin’ shelter for Lansdowne Primary Academy, Tilbury, Essex. The school had a requirement for a covered play area for the nursery children. The site was exposed to the elements, so they required a bespoke solution, tailor-made to the particular site conditions. Following a free site survey by one of our experienced engineers, a quotation was produced reflecting the client’s needs as closely as possible. A further on-site consultation then took place, coupled with a more detailed site survey.

The customer was kept up-to-date throughout the design process, and was provided with detailed product drawings, for which their approval was sought. Following the manufacture, installation commenced on the agreed date, and was completed after three days. The installation date was scheduled in weeks in advance to satisfy the school’s requirements to have the works completed during school holidays.

The final product is a clear demonstration of Autopa’s capabilities to produce an elegant, bespoke solution to a variety of needs.
