A project reflecting the quality of EOS schemes and partnerships, Carmine Wharf offers attractive communal luxury living and a tranquil retreat from ‘the City’. This stunning development of 131 one and two bedroomed apartments in London offers spacious contemporary living by design, complimented with chic décor. EOS weas selected due to its system flexibility, which supports open plan design and offers load bearing certification to 9 floors.

Each apartment has been built to the highest specification, with many benefiting from private balcony or terrace. Carmine Wharf further offers attractive communal courtyards providing a tranquil retreat from the City.

EOS's unique load bearing system combines a range of elements to support creative contemporary design, delivering high quality value engineering, and fast build times.

The principal building envelope was constructed using the EOS load bearing structural system. This comprises unique load bearing external panels which support light weight render systems and a range of tiling (in this case, terracotta). The infrastructure is supported by a podium transferred deck consisting of hot rolled steel and pre-cast concrete planks. Internal load bearings walls are formed from 100 section.

EOS's flooring system is constructed from 300 deep lattice joists with a screed on the top that is both Part E and Part B compliant, and is installed as an integrated element of the broader system. The system offers excellent acoustic and insulator properties, suited to apartment developments. The intermediate flooring system also supports cantilevered balconies, a feature of this contemporary design.

The single ply warm roof incorporates the Architectural pitch which has been designed into the roof trusses by the EOS team. The EOS system applies custom design to manufacture of light gauge steel frame, supporting contemporary design, practical and rapid provision of water tight build envelopes.

A principal focus in this, as well as many commercial developments, is reducing build time. The blocks, each of five and six stories and offering between 1,250 and 2,200 square metres of space, have been completed in as little as 9 weeks including the screeding to intermediate floors.
