Bailey have supplied 654 m² of their Secret Fix Cassette Soffit System as part of the installation of the UK’s largest curved green roof. The roof has been installed at a new £300m waste water treatment plant servicing the Brighton and Hove catchment area. The total roof area is 17,800 sq m – the equivalent of 2.5 football pitches.

A Bailey aluminium profile was most suited to this application as it was essential that the design had strong clean lines, without exposed fixings and a rolling Bullnose curved on plan, to compliment the surrounding countryside. Bailey’s Cassette system fulfilled this need because its composition ensures each cassette panel remains truly flat, without the ripples and fixing dimples that arise with standard sheet metal soffits.
