As part of a £3.6 million housing development scheme, Cembrits Zeeland fibre cement slates have been installed on 92 new properties in Newton, Birmingham. Keepmoat Homes, Birmingham City council, Urban Living and Frank Haslam Milan have worked together to construct the Horizon development.
The 32 homes are situated around a new public square in the heart of the development, which includes three new schools and a £5 million youth facility centre.
We have used Cembrit slates in the past and have always pleased with the quality of the product, we would not hesitate to use them again said Adrian Massey, Managing Director of Liberty Roofing. The Zeeland slates were easy to fit and we are delighted with the end result.
All of the houses on the development have been built to the governments standards for future sustainability, which ensures environmentally friendly design that delivers cost saving benefits to residents.
Zeeland slates are approved by BCL for use on City Council projects, as are all Cembrit fibre cement slates.
