Central Fabrications selected for Minster Building refurbishment

Central Fabrications were the chosen supplier of bespoke, textured jesmonite panels, along with 192 curved louvres as part of the refurbishment of Minster Building starting in 2017.

The Minster Building provides high quality commercial space, bringing 250,000 square foot of office in the city of London’s financial district, as well as 65,000 square foot of retail and leisure space.

Part of the refurbishment involved replacing the original escalators in the building with a brand new eight-storey central atrium which the offices would be arranged around. Central Fabrications supplied:

• 10 tons of aluminium box section extruded with port holes.
• 5mm aluminium 5083 for the top and bottom of the louvres. To ensure that no fixings could be seen, laser holes were cut into the 5mm aluminium through the top and bottom of the louvres and into the aluminium box sections.
• These were then powder coated and fitted with a sound proof acoustic board to the back.
