CEP Ceilings at the new £24m South Liverpool Academy project

Designed by Architects BDP Manchester, the new triangular building at the Enterprise South Liverpool Academy in Garston will provide an architecturally-inspiring home for students.

The £24m facility has replaced the two existing schools which the Academy previously operated from. Structurally the main part of the new building is a triangular four-storey building featuring a large full height atrium in the middle. The building houses social facilities including dining, learning cafe and sixth form area on the ground floor, with classrooms arranged on the levels above and had been designed to take into account the possible future needs of the school with some classroom partitions being removable to enable larger teaching areas to be created.

The multi functional building had varying levels of acoustic requirements and main contractor Lend Lease, along with sub-contractors CLM projects and Acousticabs used a combination of ceiling tiles, wall panels and acoustic baffles from CEP Ceilings ltd to ensure optimum performance throughout the academy.

Supplied from the company’s manufacturing site in Stafford, CEP Ceilings supplied Sequence Ceiling Tiles, Wall Panels and Baffles as well as tiles from their Healthcare Perforated range.
