BACKGROUND
As part of RAK Ceramics UK’s ongoing relationship with Radisson Edwardian Hotels, RAK Ceramics have manufactured and supplied for tiles and slabs for staircases, bathroom vanity units and staircases for the luxury 4 star Mercer Street Hotel refurbishment in London’s Covent Garden.

RAK PRODUCTS USED
Paradox porcelain floor tiles with their highly contemporary semi‐polished metallic finish where chosen by the designer to add ambience and give a luxury look to floors throughout the hotel. Bespoke fabrications of Lounge black polished slabs were used in the bathroom and vanity areas specified because of their imperviousness to water absorption at 0.5%. Staircases and window sills were also fabricated as bespoke items and specified because of the materials’ strength, durability and resistance to scratching.

AWARDS ASOCIATED WITH PROJECT
The Radisson Edwardian Group has been given a Platinum Award in the Green 500 Initiative – part of an ambitious plan to make London a greener place.
