Type of works: supply of Vincent Timber's Cape Cod cladding in Azure Blue.
Cheetah Marine, a producer of catamarans based on Ventnor, Isle of Wight, has brought classy New England looks to its new site with the use of Cape Cod wooden cladding from Vincent Timber. Featured on the boat makers building housing its work shop and offices, the development looks stunning with its fitting Azure Blue colouring.
The project was an extension for Cheetah Marine to accommodate the growth in its business. The office building, named the Oceanblue Quay, also houses Harbour Master Office and visiting Yachtsman Facilities, boat trip bookings, and a seafood restaurant and bar. Built to complement its marine surroundings, Oceanblue Quay encourages the growth of tourism and leisure, with a constant influx of visitors from pleasure cruises, alongside a traditional working harbour. Fish landed daily at the harbour can be eaten at the restaurant where tourists can book to go out on a Sea Safari and catch their own crab and lobster. Owing to its seafront location, the cladding had to be hard-wearing enough to survive coastal climates.
To achieve its goal, Cheetah Marine opted for durable Cape Cod cladding from Vincent Timber. Azure Blue colouring was chosen to suit the marine environment and match the New England style of the nearby Fish Pier. In total, 400m2 of the cladding was supplied and installed to all the external walls of the development.
Cape Cod cladding is guaranteed for 15 years and is very low maintenance. The colour gives the same attractive refined looks in the future as it does today, and is highly suitable for the location. Carefully sourced from sustainable Canadian forests, all wood is certified for its environmentally-friendly qualities. These benefits all make Cape Cod cladding from Vincent Timber the perfect choice for Cheetah Marines prestigious new development.
