The Premier House, Edgware project was a permitted development which consisted of a 1970’s concrete frame office building converted into 119 luxury residential apartments.
Thermogroup Ltd designed a comprehensive solution introducing a dry installation with no wet trades and only a 35mm build up, including an acoustic improvement of 50dB.
The client was considering a wet underfloor heating system but were having difficulties finding one with minimal height build up, this led them to choose the Thermofoil PRO electric underfloor heating system as a low build up alternative.
The development has 13 floors so the specified products within the floor build-up had to have the acoustic sound reduction properties as well as minimal height build-up.
The build-up consisted of Thermofoil PRO under laminate foil, 5mm Rigid Insulation Board, 15mm Acoustic Insulation Board with a 12mm Econoscreed dry screed board. Thermal Acoustic Solutions Ltd approved the acoustic properties of the low build up UFH solution.
