Crown celebrates school spirit at Thoresby Primary

Crown Paints helped restore a large-scale mural at Thoresby Primary School back to its former glory.

Staff, parents and pupils at a Hull primary school joined forces to give the piece of community art a new lease of life.

The works were carried out across a weekend as part of a transformation of the school’s outdoor area for pupils.

Hayley Potts, of Thoresby Primary School, said: “The mural plays a central part in celebrating our school’s history and the children felt passionately about improving and updating it.

“All staff and pupils were involved in the painting work, and we are delighted with the end result.”

Crown Paints, which has a manufacturing site in Sculcoates Lane – donated exterior paints from its Sandtex Trade range for the project.

Ellis Mudd, site manager at Crown Paints in Hull, said: “We were very happy to help such a good cause.

“The mural looks superb and the pupils have left a lasting legacy for future children to enjoy.”
