Crown Paints create colour with charitable donations

Crown Paints have donated 30 litres of paint to Headway Bristol, a charity dedicated to helping survivors of brain injury live independently.

Their commitment is to help communities become more colourful with a series of paint donations to worthy causes throughout the UK.

Clio Khan, fundraising and events co-ordinator at Headway Bristol, said: “The donation from Mike and his team at the Bristol Crown Decorating Centre not only saved us a lot of money, it has helped us transform the reception into a welcoming and pleasant space for the people who rely on our services.”

In a separate venture, Crown Paints have transformed an industrial part of the city into a vibrant street art gallery – the Bankside Gallery, in Hull.

The Bankside Gallery artists use the donated paint to create the blank canvas for the finished
artworks, before using spray paint to create the finished artwork.

Commenting on the donations, a spokesperson for Bankside Gallery said: “Asking Crown Paints to donate paint to the Bankside Gallery was a no brainer: the factory is at the heart of the Bankside area which we’re helping to transform. Crown Paints was such a big supporter of the Hull 2017 art projects”
