Crown Paints has donated a bench to Morfa Cadfan, a sheltered housing scheme in Tywyn, Gwynedd. Part of Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd (CCG), North Wales’ largest housing association, the communal areas have been redecorated in conjunction with the Tywyn Project.
The Crown Paints Specification Team visited the site at the end of last year to scope out colour schemes and the best products for the job. Novus Property Solutions carried out the work, which saw Crown Trade Timonox Acrylic Eggshell being applied to the walls of all the corridors and stairwells as well as the reception and lounge.
The ceilings were decorated with Crown Trade Timonox Vinyl Matt and the Crown Trade Fastflow Gloss System was used on the wood and metal trims. For more than 40 years, Crown Trade’s Timonox flame retardant system has played a key role in fire safety – slowing down the spread of flames to support the evacuation of buildings.
Andrew Parker, Contract Sales Manager at Crown Paints, said: “We’re really pleased with the outcome of the project and it’s great that the residents can make good use of the bench. “This is the first time we’ve worked with CCG and we’re looking forward to working with them in the future.”
