Crown Paints offers bench to Habinteg Housing Association

The installation of a bench made from recycled paint containers has marked the completion of an interior and exterior refurbishment at a social housing scheme.

Managed by Habinteg Housing Association, tenants of the community received the bench to mark a recent overhaul by the association’s national partnering contractor, Bell Group.

Habinteg’s Head of Asset Management, Mark Simmons-Powell, said: “Having places to socialise and enjoy the outdoors is fundamental to friendly, sustainable and inclusive neighbourhoods; everyone on the scheme can now enjoy it."

Rob Grant, Contract Manager at Bell Group, said: “We decorated all the rooms, corridors and stairwells as well as coating the exterior woodwork.

“We used Crown Trade Matt Vinyl on the interiors and for the outdoor work we chose Sadolin Superdec, which gives long-standing protection, therefore extending the maintenance cycle for the exterior timber.

“The tenants at Ash Close were delighted with the refurbishments and very happy to receive a bench for the community garden.”
