Curtain walling for sixth form development

Soundcraft Hybrid curtain walling, windows and doors were chosen for D’overbroeck Sixth Form Study Centre & Performing Arts Building; set to open September 2017.

The current building will be transformed into a Sixth Form Centre with science labs, a library, school hall and auditorium.

Designed by TSH Architects, the project aims to preserve the original Summerhill Villa, built in 1823, whilst adding a modern touch.

Soundcraft manufactured and installed their Series 3 Curtain wall, with their Series 1 windows and SPW501 security doors in the main building and hall.

The Hybrid Series 3 curtain walling is a timber-aluminium composite systems. A slick and compartmentally drained system designed to meet building regulations. It is weather rating tested to CWCT Sequence achieving 600Pa air permeability, 600Pa water tightness and 2000Pa wind resistance.

The Hybrid Series 1 casement windows combine the long life and low maintenance of aluminium externally with high insulation, responsibly sourced timber internally.

SPW501 is a commercial thermally broken aluminium security door. The design is enhanced by a clip and flush mullion section in a choice of widths. A high performance system idea for high traffic use. Anti-finger trap pivots are provided.
