Pension Insurance Corporation’s workplace interior, designed by Perkins&Will, is defined by fluid ceiling planes and a calm, material-led palette. The acoustic requirement was clear: introduce effective absorption without disrupting the geometry, shadow lines or the continuity of the timber surface.
Laudescher LINEA 2.6.8 slatted ceiling panels in oak were specified to integrate acoustic control directly into the architecture, working with - rather than beneath - the curved forms. To achieve broadband absorption while retaining the linear clarity of the slatted ceiling, the system was paired with Rockfon Colour’All insulation panels, helping to reduce unwanted reflections and support clear speech without deadening the room.
The curved geometry demanded tight tolerances and careful coordination. Standard LINEA panels were supplied to allow precise on-site trimming where curves began and ended, maintaining consistent rhythm, grain and visual alignment through transitions, while integrating services and access panels within the slatted layout.
