Cutting edge controls from Hamilton

Hamilton Litestat specified to provide modern technology solutions that combine classic design inspirations with modern living requirements.

Quintas Homes, together with interior designer Matteo Bianchi, has designed and developed a block of six stunning apartments near Clissold Park in London.

The apartment block comprises three two-bed and three three-bed apartments. Inspired by the Tom Ford-directed film ‘A Single Man’.

Quintas Homes sought a supplier who could provide modern technology solutions presented in a way that’s in-keeping with the chic and distinctive approach.

Hamilton Litestat was tasked to suggest appropriate technologies and electrical accessories that would provide future homeowners with desirable options while also ensuring that these blended seamlessly with the striking design.

Hamilton, in partnership with wholesaler, The Light Bulb Shop, recommended the installation of its cutting-edge Mercury® Lighting Control and Multi-Room Audio system.

This latest technology is an intelligent system that allows the homeowner to control the lighting and music in any room via coloured touchscreen panels or a smartphone app.

4 Room/4 Zone Mercury® Multi-Room Audio units were installed in both the two- and three-bed apartments, each with built-in DAB radio.

The installation ensures that music can be streamed via Bluetooth effortlessly in all lounges, bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as in the garden for those apartments with outside space.

A bespoke pendant light called ‘The Baffo’, designed exclusively for the apartments, hangs in each living room. The Baffo centerpiece and additional ambient lighting are controlled byHamilton’s Mercury® Lighting Control.

The system allows the creation and storing of bespoke lighting scenes so they can be recalled at a touch of the control or app, setting the mood for any occasion.

By storing and using dimmed lighting scenes, the homeowner can also reduce energy usage and their electricity bills.

Each of the touchscreen control panels were supplied in Hamilton’s chic Hartland CFX® design. Finished in Black Nickel and featuring bespoke Quintas Homes insignia etching.

The panels were installed using Hamilton’s patented four-point clipping system CFX® that conceals the fixings for a sleek finish.

The style and finish of the touchscreen controllers perfectly complements the high quality dark oak floors and soft stone black shower floors in each of the apartments.

To continue the striking design theme, Hamilton also recommended switch plates and sockets in the coordinating Black Nickel Hartland CFX® design.

Hamilton supplied a variety of switch plate and socket functions to suit modern living, including the ‘now essential’ USB sockets, data points in all bedrooms and living rooms, and a telephone data point fitting in the living room.

Akhil Haria said:

“Hamilton has really helped throughout the whole process and has delivered cutting-edge lighting and audio technologies that ensure the tech-savvy buyer is enthralled by the apartments."
