Dakota Hotel, Nottingham

Dakota Hotel, Nottingham

Dakota, Sherwood Business Park, Nottingham

Design Director: Greg Brooks
Architect: Amanda Rosa Interiors
Type of works: supply of sanitaryware.

Dakota, on the doorstep of Sherwood Forest, could be mistaken for the office of yet another blue-chip relocating to the regions. Step inside though, and all is revealed. Modern, warm and welcoming, Dakota boasts an all-cream lounge bar, designed by award-winning designer, Amanda Rosa.

Exposed brickwork and air conditioning ducts are softened by sumptuous leather sofas, and a fireplace that nestles between the foyer and chic bar.

VitrA supplied the specification for all 92 bathrooms at the budget-luxury hotel.

Design Director, Greg Brookes, said: “Amanda Rosa Interiors worked together with the VitrA teams, both in the UK and in Turkey, to design and develop the bespoke bathroom products for Dakota Nottingham, the first Dakota hotel in the UK, completed in 2004. Specific items supplied by VitrA included the vanity unit, taps and shower tray. The hotel has been an outstanding success both commercially and for its design."

Greg continues: "The VitrA products have proven to be manufactured to a very high standard, robust and durable, and I would not hesitate to work with VitrA again on future hotel projects.”
