Danzer goes international with Iron Mountain

Following on from the successful build and installation of a unique storage vault in Dublin for US firm Iron Mountain, Danzer has once again been commissioned to deliver a similar modular system, this time in Helsinki, Finland. Danzer was specified by Iron Mountain’s consultant Phil Osborn because our modular system met the demanding specification in all its detail.

Danzer have built a four-module sliding wheel storage system which will be used for data storage. A key factor in the delivery of the project will be to ensure that the tracking system remains perfectly level and, having completed similar projects in Dublin and North Wales, Danzer have proved that they can deliver this crucial aspect without a hitch. Manufactured by Danzer Limited at their Langley Mill site in Nottingham, the four 3m x 9.6m steel modules are now on their way to site. A third party supplier is installing a racking system, insulated wall and ceiling panels, mobile shelving, fire alarms, a pressure relief system, security system and air conditioning.

When fit out is finished the modules will then be separated, sheeted and prepared for transit on our articulated lorries and driven to port at Hull. The units will be loaded onto the Finnline ship and collected at the port in Helsinki by a fleet of Finnish drivers. Delivery, installation and completion of the project will be overseen by Danzer's experienced team of Andrew Little, Paul Fletcher and Director, Dan Holloway.
