David salisbury’s orangery at Trefloyne Manor restaurant

Trefloyne Manor chose an orangery from David Salisbury to construct a restaurant to their beautiful hotel and golf club in Tenby, Pembrokeshire.

Made predominantly from glass, the restaurant would boast the best views of the golf course and countryside. It would also give customers access to a private decked area which overlooks the green. The new restaurant also meant extensive renovations for the existing bar and original restaurant.

A neutral interior design was developed, giving a light space for diners and for wedding coordination. The natural design of the room would complement the addition of different colour schemes of a wedding, such as floral displays, table coverings and bridal attire.

The design of the orangery threw up some structural challenges which were overcome with bespoke steel work, concealed within the timber. The manufacture and installation went smoothly, especially considering the scale of the project. The orangery is now open and the first few weddings have been a resounding success.
