Design & Display Structures enjoy success at kart race

Design & Display Structures, London, are basking in success from the May bank holiday weekend. D&D entered a four man team Allan Curtis, Simon Gibson, Tom Eastwood and Bruno Botelho into the highly demanding Daytona 2016 Dmax 25 hour race which attracts seriously competitive drivers and teams from around the UK.

Racing in 2 stroke Dmax karts these are both light and powerful making for an exhilarated drive placing considerable demands on driver concentration at every twist and turn as they rapidly catch up with and zip past the Sodi karts most people are familiar with.

Putting in a solid performance from start to finish the team made a good start to proceedings with Company Director Allan Curtis (left of photo) qualifying their team P2 on the starting grid alongside Tom Golding.

Never out of the top 5 the D&D squad shadowed and hassled top class drivers every step of the way for 25 solid hours of driving to finish on the podium with a well earned 3rd place. Winners Sign Logic and Team Applewood beat D&D to the post by just 5 laps and 1 lap respectively in a nail biting last hour of action where a second place seemed tantalisingly close.

Design & Display Structures kart team will next feature in action at Sandown in the Daytona Power Maxed challenge round 2.
