Devonport Yachts build large superyachts and luxury motor yachts in Plymouth and Appledore in the south west of England. The company is part of a tradition of boat building at the Devonport Royal Docks which have been building and supporting The British Royal Navy for over three hundred years. Devonport Yachts have turned their experience and expertise towards designing, developing and building super yachts for sale to high class clientele where only the best is good enough. Devonport Yachts and Devonport Royal Dockyard are now part of the Babcock Marine Division of Babcock International Group which provides them with exceptional financial stability.

Through Devonport's experience in designing and building luxury yachts they pride themselves on their wholly bespoke solutions. For example, they do not use ready-made hulls or other parts in the building of their superyachts - there are no templates for them to follow. They understand that it takes time to build luxury boats for sale and they have a dedicated team to do so.

Since high standards are the minimum requirement for the building of a super yacht, lighting has to be of a high standard to enable the painting work to be carried out in complete safety, and inspected in minute detail. The Petrel 9 series ATEX Zone 1 hazardous area light fittings used in this application provide superb light output and light clarity, ensuring all inspections are thorough and clear. The lighting environment created for the workforce ensures that their high levels of skill and craftsmanship result in a first class vessel for their customer.

The Petrel 9 Series product is available in both standard and emergency versions, and is easy to install and maintain, due to its variable mounting points and hinged diffuser arrangement.
