Workers at the West Hampstead Overground station development are using Donseed’s biometric time and attendance system to sign in and out of site.
The Overground has seen a dramatic rise in passenger numbers hence the need for the development. Last year nearly 5 million passengers used West Hampstead Overground, compared to 1.5 million in 2008/09. Last year the foundations, ground and drainage works were carried out. This year the new footbridge should open by the end of 2017.
In 2018, lifts will be installed (making the station fully accessible, like the Thameslink), and the planned opening of the new station building in August 2018.
Then the old station will be dismantled (and a new retail space built in its place).
Long term developments such as this one can make huge financial savings over the life time of a project by using Donseed’s biometric time and attendance solution to accurately record hours worked on site and eliminate any wastage.
