School Objective: Draycott Community Primary School set out to create a safe, versatile outdoor space usable year-round by pupils, parents and staff. They needed a robust, weather-resistant shelter that offered reliable protection and suited the site’s layout. Equally important, the design had to blend with the school’s traditional village setting. Combining practicality with aesthetic harmony, the shelter enhances outdoor learning, play and parent waiting areas, making it a valuable asset for the whole community.

NBB Outdoors’ Solution: NBB Outdoors designed and installed a bespoke wall-attached shelter to meet Draycott Community Primary School’s requirements. Measuring L: 7,000mm x D: 5,000mm x H: 2,300/2,700mm, it features 300mm rear rafter overhangs on both sides. For weather protection, opal 16mm multi-wall polycarbonate roofing was fitted, with front guttering draining to ground level. A 150mm ground fall ensured effective runoff. An extra post was added near a window and door, supported by two bespoke footplates for secure surface mounting. Finished in Umbra Grey RAL 7022, the shelter blends with the school surroundings while providing a durable, practical solution.
