Dunfermline Fire Station Gets A Revamp

Dunfermline Fire Station Gets A Revamp

The old fire station at Dunfermline has been given a new lease of life as a centre for art and relaxation.

Invalifts were asked to look at the building to identify whether a lift was feasible. They found a place in the building where their 1250mm wide MC2000 platform lift could be directly inserted between 2 structural beams, thereby making the enabling builders work for the lift considerably easier. The client also did not want to disturb the floor and so they used a ramp at the lower door rather than their normal 60mm recess.
