A Gerflor innovation for the residential market, Easitex flooring is a 100% recyclable, ultra thick, 4.2mm sheet vinyl with a 0.7 tog and 20db sound insulation rating. Close to carpet in terms of warmth, comfort and acoustics, it provides the durability of vinyl with the addition of a performance enhancing, built-in underlay.

Extra soft and comfortable underfoot, Easitex flooring is an advanced residential vinyl in an impressive range of exciting designs and colours. It features Gerflor’s patented fibre technology, encapsulated in a 2.2mm thick backing layer that creates a thermal barrier to help prevent heat loss through the floor. Potential energy savings are boosted and noise transference, especially to rooms below, is also minimised. Its resilient, easy to clean, R10 slip resistant, 0.35mm thick, PureClean™ matt surface layer is capable of almost full indentation recovery.

Thanks to the unique, self-levelling, polyester backing system working in combination with a dimensionally stable waterproof interlayer, Easitex flooring is ideal for renovation projects. For example, 35 sq. m can be loose-laid without adhesive, minimising subfloor preparation and providing fast, simple and cost-saving installation. It also tolerates up to 90% residual damp.

Beyond its thermal and acoustic qualities, the eco-credentials of Easitex flooring are enhanced by its polyester backing system being made from 95% recycled fibres, and the flooring being entirely recyclable and environmentally sustainable.

However, commitment to more environmentally-friendly vinyl floorings does not come without heavy investment in production methods: Gerflor pursues a ‘green’ policy having achieved ISO 14001 certification across its industrial sites and eliminated heavy metals from its manufacturing processes whilst producing products with minimal VOC emissions.

Recycling is uppermost on Gerflor’s environmental agenda: most products are fully recyclable and nearly all post-production waste is recycled back into product manufacture.
