Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company (CMBC) was formed from a joint venture between Carlsberg UK and Marston’s PLC, combining 300 years of history and heritage in UK brewing.
CMBC is one of the newest brewers in the UK with brands including Estrella, Hobgoblin, Tetley’s, and Wainwright as part of their portfolio.
They have a number of locations and breweries across the UK from Bank’s Brewery in the Black Country, Jennings in Cumbria, and London Fields in Hackney.
EFAFLEX partnered with CMBC at one of their historic sites at Bedford. This facility has a high level of traffic including forklift trucks, where speed of operation and user safety is key. They were enlisted to replace old, tired, fabric high-speed doors and overcome significant space constraints.
The EFAFLEX STR spiral door was ideal for this environment, in this instance externally mounted, and tailored specifically to the client’s needs. With its incredible door opening speeds of up to 4 metres per second, and high-quality performance (up to 250,000 operating cycles per year), the STR product would help CMBC ensure speedy movement of goods, maintain a safe operating environment, and minimise downtime.
Installing the STR doors will help weatherproof the facility and minimise exposure to the elements to make energy savings more cost efficient.
The STR perfectly combines speed, functionality, low maintenance, and here was colour matched to complement the existing building, making it a great all-round solution for this beverage client.
