As part of their expansion to build a state of the art, eco-friendly steel store shed, AV Dawson turned to EFAFLEX as high-speed door specialists.

AV Dawson wanted to protect the steel stored within the shed and also manage the building climate control. 5 EFA-SST® high- speed spiral doors were installed with opening speeds of 2.5 metres per second. They were varied in size, but all are capable of up to 250,000 cycles between routine inspections.

The doors come fitted with the standard EFA-THERM® insulation laths to provide heat insulation between 0.66 and 1.52 W/m2K but they also opted for EFA-CLEAR® laths allowing for natural daylight to improve user comfort and aesthetics.

EFAFLEX integrated a self-monitored, TüV certified infrared light grid (EFA-TLG®) into the door tracks to help minimise the risk of accidents.
