EFP were commissioned to install five new enclosures at Leake Street beneath Waterloo Station, more famously known as Banksy Tunnel.
In 2008 Banksy organised a collaboration with other artists to decorate the tunnel walls with graffiti and since then it has been one of London’s most famous streets for the art form.
However, the surrounding arches adjacent the street remained untouched and were in need of revitalizing. EFP were commissioned to install five new enclosures to separate arches over the existing exposed steel frame.
VM Pigmento Blue zinc was utilised to enhance the entrances to each arch and give the street a uniformity it previously lacked. The derelict arches are soon to be occupied by new shops and restaurants to welcome visitors to the famous street.
