EMSc Shortlisted For Innovation Award

Rotherham based EMSc is pleased to announce it has been shortlisted for the prestigious Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business awards 2011, in the Innovation category. The nomination is for the company’s innovative Powerstar voltage optimisation product.

EMS has always been at the forefront of the latest energy saving technologies and is constantly looking to launch new products that will allow organisations to reduce not only their electricity bills, but their carbon emissions as well.

The solution is popular with both the private and public sector because of the tangible energy saving benefits it provides, not only helping organisations to meet carbon reduction commitments, but also cutting electricity costs at a time when surging energy prices are having a major impact on budgets.

EMS also recently announced another successful 12 months trading, with turnover increasing by 50%, to £12.4m. During the course of the last twelve months the company also doubled its workforce, to 70 people and has moved into new premises to accommodate the growth it has been experiencing.

Alex Mardapittas, managing director EMSc said, “We are extremely excited to be shortlisted for the award. We have developed a product for the 21st century, one which organisations large and small can install to reduce their carbon footprint and cut energy costs.”

The company is accredited with the Made in Sheffield accolade in acknowledgement of the quality of its manufacturing process, its expansion into international markets and the international success of Powerstar.
