Encasement Ltd, has achieved Forest Stewardship Council Chain of Custody (CoC) certification following a detailed assessment from leading accreditation body, BM TRADA.
The chain of custody certification is regarded as a key achievement as a large number of Encasement's decorative pipe boxing and casings are manufactured from pre-formed plywood, which is produced from bonded wood veneers to create strong, lightweight and easy-to-install products.
Encasement's FSC chain-of-custody certified products are offered alongside the existing range to ensure that customers have the widest choice while helping them meet obligations under the various sustainable buildings codes.
Managing Director, Martin Taylor, explained: We are constantly exploring ways of improving, developing and refining our products to ensure we continue to meet constantly changing market needs and the increasingly demanding expectations of customers, specifiers and contractors.
He added; The use of products that are sustainable and energy efficient or can be readily recycled has already gained significant momentum in the UK construction industry and the fact that we can now offer products manufactured from timber originating from well managed sources makes it easier for specifiers to comply with regulations when selecting casing products for specific projects.
The FSC CoC certification, awarded by BM TRADA, covers both Pure, Mixed and recycled product classifications for the wood used in the manufacture of all plywood products in Encasement's range including Riva, Riva D, Versa and Versa D pipe boxing as well as its boiler pipe casing range and Circa and Quadra column casings.
