Fairhaven Lake and Gardens is one of the Fylde Coast's most treasured destinations, welcoming thousands of visitors each year to enjoy its picturesque setting, heritage features and waterside walks.
As part of Fylde Council's ongoing investment in enhancing the site, Broxap designed and manufactured its PU Trinity Post and Rail system to provide over 300 metres of heritage-style post and rail around key areas of the lake.
The new fencing was installed alongside wider improvements, including a new visitor centre, helping to preserve the character of this much-loved attraction while creating a safer and more welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.
Manufactured from polyurethane, the PU Trinity Post and Rail system combines the timeless appearance of traditional timber with the long-term performance of a modern material. Designed to replicate the look of painted timber, it will not rot, warp, crack or splinter and requires very little maintenance, making it an ideal solution for busy public spaces exposed to the coastal environment.
Its durable construction ensures the fencing continues to provide an attractive boundary while reducing ongoing maintenance costs and minimising disruption to visitors.
The heritage-inspired design complements the historic surroundings of Fairhaven Lake, creating clear, sympathetic boundaries without detracting from the natural landscape. As well as improving safety along the lakeside, the fencing enhances the overall visitor experience by protecting key pedestrian routes and reinforcing the site's traditional character.
The result is an attractive, long-lasting solution that supports Fylde Council's vision of preserving Fairhaven Lake as a welcoming destination for the local community and visitors for years to come.
