Marshalls customers now have access to extra environmental information about products due to expanding their EPD collection to cover over 80% of ranges. This supports businesses to make more informed product choices and accelerates their commitment to enabling more sustainable construction
EPDs (or Environmental Product Declarations) are independently verified and internationally recognised documents that present a life-cycle assessment of a product’s environmental impact. They provide a standardised framework including detailed information on various areas, including carbon footprint, energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, and waste generation.
Michael Edwards, Group Head of Sustainability speaks enthusiastically about the launch:
“At Marshalls, we firmly believe sustainable construction is the key to a brighter future. We are proud to have expanded our range of Environmental Product Declarations, enabling our customers to make more environmentally conscious decisions throughout the construction process. By providing transparent data on our products’ environmental performance, we empower people to design and build greener spaces, ultimately driving positive change in the industry.”
The expansion of Marshalls' EPD collection reinforces their commitment to their “Creating Better Spaces” ethos and approach to sustainability, which is built around The Marshalls Way of doing the right things, for the right reasons, in the right way.
