The iconic Shard building in London has received the final piece of the external façade which will soon make it the tallest inhabited building in Europe, when it is complete.
EOS were delighted to be involved in the development that is lighting up the London skyline where we provided the backing panels for the internal fit out of the viewing gallery, and to the toilets on each floor.
The Shard is lighting up the London skyline comprising of 72 floors, a 360-degree viewing observatory, numerous restaurants, a five star Shangri-La Hotel, as well as residents and offices.
Work on the Shard began in February 2009 and the 310 metre high building is due for completion later this year. The designer, Renzo Piano, designed the building to represent an iceberg emerging from the Thames.
