Since 2016, EverEdge have been offering custom designed and manufactured steel walls and planters for podium landscaping. EverEdge has been specified into projects by some of the country's top landscape architects and have worked with a variety of the country's leading contractors.

The projects have ranged from small scale, decorative planters to heavy duty structural walls and have been manufactured in hot dip galvanised, powder coated or Cor-Ten steel.

On every project, there have been a range of difficulties to be overcome from size and weight issues to ensuring the products do not impact on the waterproof layers.

EverEdge has worked on these issues alongside the contractors and architects so that, once built, the EverEdge products can be quickly and easily installed on site.

The primary concern on any installation is strength, durability and life expectancy which is why steel is the perfect material to use. Steel is an inherently strong material which means that, once installed, it will fulfill its purpose for many years to come.

London square development at Streatham Hill:

In 2017 EverEdge were asked to construct steel planters and walls in a London Square development at Streatham Hill. The contractor, Kingston Landscape Group, asked them to manufacture the Cor-Ten steel to a demanding timeframe and exacting standards. The project involved a range of different custom made steel products in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. The project has gone on to win the BALI National Landscaping Award for Soft Landscaping Construction (Non-Domestic).

Cain International at Islington Square:

The following year, EverEdge were specified into a project for Cain International at Islington Square in London. Maylim Ltd were the landscape contractors tasked with the hard and soft landscaping on site, including the installation of the EverEdge. The project required a number of edging products as well as the raised Cor-Ten planter walls.

Islington Square is a development of 371 residential units across three blocks which includes offices, gym, cinema, theatre and retail units.

The landscape architect, Capita Real Estate and Infrastructure, specified EverEdge to provide edging and planters for roof terraces as well as communal gardens.

The many roof gardens feature large multi-curved Cor-Ten (500mm high) raised planted areas to accommodate trees and shrubs.

EverEdge designed and manufactured the planter walls to allow them to be easily built on site to exact measurements. The Cor-Ten steel was pre-weathered before being shipped to site to prevent any risk of rust run off once the panels were installed.

Regency Villas in Cheltenham:

2019 has continued to see EverEdge specified on a number of projects around the country including in the redevelopment of two Grade II listed Regency Villas at One Bayshill Road, Cheltenham. The Villas are being developed for Pegasus Life to provide 50 apartments.

Glen Howells Architects have designed the project to fit into the distinguished streets of Montpellier.

Sky Garden, the contractor on this project, came to EverEdge to provide the steel planters. The planters are 900mm tall and have been designed to fit between existing structures on the roof of the building. The planters are filled with a mixture of void former, grit, bark and 300mm of topsoil.
