Fabrication specialists, Contour Casings, supplied almost 300m of their pioneering Aluminium wall capping system, spread over 3 separate phases. The buyer for the site selected the system over the specified Zinc clad capping.
Peter Yeung, Buyer for Taylor Wimpey, said, “The Zinc clad capping was labour intensive and costly compared to Contour’s Aluminium product. As the Contour system is manufactured in-house, the build quality and finish is far superior to what is achievable on site. The ease of installation was also a factor. We will specify this system on other projects in the future.”
Contour’s Aluminium wall capping was identified as the preferred solution for its “clip-fix” system, which facilitates a fast and efficient installation, while weather-proofing gaskets prevent the ingress of water and reduce long-term maintenance costs. The product’s robust construction and durability were also key drivers when selecting a capping system.
