Fakro roof windows prove the ideal combination

Client: Private
Type of works: specified roof windows.

FAKRO roof windows have been used in stunning combination in the conversion of Pineapple Cottage, a mid-Victorian dwelling, to a modern four-bedroom home. The transformation to a light-filled, contemporary interior could not have been more dramatic as SE5 architect Elizabeth Borowiecka commented. “Fakro came to our notice by recommendation and as we wanted to create a light and airy space in the middle of the building the scope to use so many windows in combination was ideal”.

Eight window sizes in standard or conservation style can be used from 78 x 78cm up to 134 x 60cm. All provide a minimum overall U-value of 1.4W.m2K and can be used on pitches between 15°-90°. For installation in vertical combinations the KD joining module enables windows to be fitted closer together, maximising availability of natural daylight and greatly improving the field of view. Internal panes are laminated for increased safety and security.
