Fassa render systems for stunning church restoration

Render and masonry systems from Fassa Bortolo's Ex-Novo Restoration line were used to help restore the San Giovanni Battista Decollato Church in Turin.

These were developed specifically for the restoration of damp masonry using traditional, sustainable materials such as natural hydraulic lime 3.5 and crushed terracotta.

The systems used include Malta di Allettamento 770 which is a NHL3.5 based mortar used to repoint/restore existing masonry. Rinzaffo 720 is a NHL3.5 based undercoat for renovating damp masonry. It promotes adhesion between the masonry and plaster by enhancing the anti-saline action of the plaster. Macroporoso 717 is a base coat render also based on NHL3.5 which works in conjunction with Rinzaffo 720 when used to renovate damp masonry.
