As part of the recent £ 5.5m extension and refurbishment project to Ryde School, Isle of Wight, M & G Olympic Products Ltd manufactured and installed a stunning feature staircase and landing to the recently completed entrance building.

A key feature of the overall design was to maximise the natural features of the site whilst providing practical solutions to overcome the access, safety and security problems facing the school. Alongside the existing Grade II listed Westmont Building, the site boasts spectacular views of the Solent.

The architects design response has been described as “elegant” and by utilising modern construction materials and methods the structural glass balustrade and stainless steel staircase supplied by M & G Olympic Products Ltd provides a modern solution without compromising the views of the beautiful surroundings. The American Oak timber landing and open timber stair treads complete the attractive installation.
