The Fire Industry Association welcomes the ‘Lakanal House’ report that has just been issued by Sir Ken Knight’s office. Martin Harvey the FIA Chairman, speaking immediately after the issue of the report, commented:- “I am impressed that the report has been issued so speedily with a number of “Areas for Consideration”. In particular the references to the fire trade’s expertise both with regard to the passive industry’s “comprehensive range of guidance and technical information”’ and the active industry’s “existing knowledge and emerging technology” are evidence.
