Fibre optic cabling for the iconic London Roundhouse

VDC has supplied supplied Van Damme Tourlight Fibre Optic Cabling for the Roundhouse, a multifunctional performance space in London.

The Grade II listed building has been providing a stage to performance artists for over 50 years and as well as welcoming major names such as Robert Plant, Happy Mondays and the Royal Shakespeare Company, the venue also encourages emerging talent, by offering artists the opportunity to engage with the arts through music, media and performance projects.

In addition, The Roundhouse’s in-house production company offers a range of services spanning live online broadcast and original content creation.

With such an extensive and varied workload, it is essential that the venue has a strong, reliable audio infrastructure and so they turned turned to VDC Trading.

VDC supplied Van Damme Tourlight Fibre Optic Cabling, terminated with Neutrik OpticalCON connectors onsite by their Neutrik approved Class A Coca Assemblers, on site in Kings Cross to provide 32 input/40 output channels as part of the DiGiCo SD10 installation.

The result is an audio setup that will ensure the venue remains at the forefront of live productions for some time to come.
