The project required a modular system that could be easily relocated as different phases of construction progressed, ensuring minimal disruption to students, staff, and the public.

The university remained operational throughout the renovation, making it essential to implement robust fire and sound protection to maintain a safe and productive environment. A significant amount of dust was generated from the ongoing construction activities, which required an efficient containment solution. As the project was executed in multiple phases, temporary barriers needed to be modular and easily repositioned as work progressed.

Westgate Global supplied Hoardfast Firescreen and Hoardfast Soundscreen to Neilcott Construction Ltd. Hoardfast Firescreen provided critical fire rated panels, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and offering peace of mind to all university occupants. Hoardfast Soundscreen effectively minimised noise pollution from construction work, helping to maintain a suitable academic environment. Double and single internal fire doors were also installed as part of the project. The fire doors are flush face with 8mm hardwood lipping to the vertical edge. Stringently tested and certified, Westgate Global fire doors meet full compliance for their designated environment.
