M & G Olympic Products supplied and installed a number of metalwork items to the £3.5m replacement for the fifty-year-old Fire Station, Carlton, Nottinghamshire development including a two-flight feature staircase to the main reception area.

The staircase compliments the sleek lines of this modern facility having brushed stainless steel finishes to the stringers, balustrade and handrails. The 10mm toughened glass infill panels to the balustrade retain a light and airy feel to the reception area. As part of a comprehensive package M & G Olympic Products Ltd provided a Project Management service.

The team’s wide experience gained over many years helped identify the best method of completing the project in an efficient and cost effective manner. The Design Team worked with the client during the early stages of the project to undertake site surveys and produce design solutions, creating an end result to fully satisfy all the client’s criteria whilst ensuring plans complied with all relevant British Standard Regulations where required.

Other items supplied and installed at the Carlton site include stairs balustrade, handrails and balcony to the training tower, various external roof access ladders and stainless steel door guards complete with glass infills and mesh infill window guards. All products were manufactured at the company’s two-factory site in the centre of Sheffield which is constantly enhanced with investment in the latest state-of-the-art design and production equipment.
