The Polysafe collection of heavy-duty vinyl safety flooring incorporates various safety particles to provide enhanced slip resistance. This includes coloured quartz, aluminium oxide, natural recycled aggregates, and silicon carbide particles to provide the required friction between foot and floor. The Polysafe portfolio offers an excellent choice of decoration and colour without taking away from Polysafe’s rationale – to provide sustainable wet-slip resistant performance, underfoot safety and ease of maintenance. Many Polysafe ranges incorporate Polysafe PUR, a high quality, cross-linked polyurethane reinforcement, UV cured to provide superior cleaning benefits, life cycle maintenance savings and optimum appearance retention.

The Polysafe range offers a broad collection of products appropriate for specification in multi-use spaces, to ensure the underfoot safety in a wide range of interior environments. The latest collections include Polysafe Wood & Stone fx PUR. featuring 38 high clarity stone and wood effects designs across a range of warm and cool hues.

Polysafe Verona and Verona Pure a selection of attractive pastel decorative shades with the properties of safety flooring that makes them ideal for healthcare and educational setting.

Polysafe QuickLay PUR a loose lay safety flooring designed for Adhesive free installation, the collection is suitable for busy commercial environments in need of a quick turnaround and where sustainable slip resistance is a priority.

All Polysafe ranges are suited for specification to many commercial and residential areas to reduce the potential for slipping where spillages or other contaminants may occur. For the areas requiring more specialist flooring, options are available such as Polysafe Apex 55, designed for commercial kitchens and food preparation areas. Products for use in continuously wet areas include Polysafe Quattro PUR,Hydro and Hydro evolve that have been specifically designed to provide a high degree of slip resistance whether wearing footwear or being barefoot where additional contaminants such as shampoo and shower gels may be present.

To meet acoustic and safety requirements, Polysafe Wood fx Acoustix PUR offers a dual acoustic solution, offering impact sound reduction levels of 19dB in excess of Building Regulation Part E requirements.

Slip resistance is a key specification requirement for safety floors in areas with risks of contaminant spillages and where underfoot safety is imperative. All Polysafe ranges fully conform to the European Norm for safety flooring – EN 13845 and meet the abrasion requirements set down in the 50,000 cycles test. The HSE stipulates that two slip resistance test methods should be used in conjunction with each other to assess the slipperiness of floors. These are the Pendulum Wet Test and the Surface Roughness Test. Polysafe products adhere to HSE & UK Slip Group Guidelines, achieving results of at least 36+ in the RRL Pendulum Test (wet test – using 4S Rubber/Slider 96) and a surface roughness of 20 microns. Polysafe floocoverings achieve an independent Agrément rating of at least 10-year performance in recommended use areas and slip resistance is assured throughout the guaranteed life of the product.

Polysafe ranges are individually certified by BRE Global as having an environmental A+ Rating (Certificate No: ENP472 & ENP415) in major use areas such as education and healthcare. Generic EN 15804 Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) available on request.
