Flexible floor tiles/sheets: safety
Polyflor
The Polysafe collection of heavy-duty vinyl safety flooring incorporates various safety particles to provide enhanced slip resistance. This includes coloured quartz, natural recycled aggregates and silicon carbide particles to provide the required friction between foot and floor. The Polysafe portfolio offers an excellent choice of decoration and colour without taking away from Polysafes rationale to provide sustainable wet-slip resistant performance, underfoot safety and ease of maintenance. Many Polysafe ranges incorporate Polysafe PUR, a high quality, cross-linked polyurethane reinforcement, UV cured to provide superior cleaning benefits, life cycle maintenance savings and optimum appearance retention.
The latest additions to the collection are design-led flooring ranges suited for both front and back of house areas. These products feature built-in slip resistance that is carborundum-free and virtually invisible to the eye. Polysafe Arena PUR is a sheet vinyl featuring high clarity designs, authentically representing stone, concrete, textile & abstract effects.
A recent addition to the safety flooring family is Expona Control PUR. With the added benefit of sustainable slip resistance in wet areas, Expona Control PUR is a collection of design-led Luxury Vinyl Tiles, ideally suited for very heavy commercial areas.
Other decorative ranges in the collection include Polysafe Modena PUR, with a special micro-granite decoration and Polysafe Hydro Evolve, featuring a raised profile emboss for continually wet and barefoot areas.
Polysafe ranges are suited to many commercial and residential areas to reduce the potential for slipping where spillages may occur. For the areas requiring more specialist flooring, options are available such as Polysafe Ultima, designed for commercial kitchens and food preparation areas. To meet acoustic and safety requirements, Polysafe Wood fx Acoustix PUR offers a dual acoustic solution, offering impact sound reduction levels of 19dB in excess of Building Regulation Part E requirements.
All Polysafe ranges fully conform to the European Norm for safety flooring EN 13845 and meet the abrasion requirements set down in the 50,000 cycles test. All products adhere to HSE & UK Slip Group Guidelines, achieving results of at least 36+ in the RRL Pendulum Test (wet test using 4S Rubber/Slider 96) and a surface roughness of 20 microns. Polysafe floocoverings achieve an independent Agrément rating of at least 10 year performance in recommended use areas and slip resistance is assured throughout the guaranteed life of the product.
Polysafe ranges are individually certified by BRE Global as having an environmental A+ Rating (Certificate No: ENP472 & ENP415) in major use areas such as education and healthcare. Generic EN 15804 Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) available on request.
