Floating vanity units at 45 Cannon Street

Floating vanity units at 45 Cannon Street

Maxwood Washrooms worked with architects Fletcher Priest and Bouygues UK to provide their washroom solutions for 45 Cannon Street, London.

The company provided: Gerberit frames; Maxwall IPS; quartz vanity units; prism mirror units; full-height, matt laminate Maranté cubicles and washroom accessories.

The vanity units were installed in front of the building’s exterior glass façade, and were required to have a floating appearance.

The vanity steelwork supports were installed first, then the stud partitions were built around these, with only the side supports left visible. The tops were then fixed to the side supports to create the floating effect framed by light let in from the façade washing over the quartz.

Maxwood provided architects with 3D initial designs at the pre-contract stage, a major part of why the company were specified.
