FLW 28 SmoTec system gives Girls’ Day School Trust natural ventilation

Fieger have provided their FLW 28 SmoTec system for the Girls’ Day School Trust.

Adexsi UK selected Fieger as it was ensured they would meet both the day-to-day natural ventilation and emergency smoke control requirements.

A key design requirement was the need for all vents to be CE marked and to be easily incorporated into the toggle fixing system of the glazed façade.

The vents are all SmoTec type, fully tested to EN 12101-2 for natural smoke ventilators.

Each unit was supplied complete with WSS 24 volt DC actuators, with colour-matched covers for simple, reliable operation and connection to the fire protection control system.

Due to the size of some vents, twin motors were required.

A key characteristic of the Fieger vents is the energy efficient design, achieved by the class-leading low air leakage rate, together with low U-values.
