The hygiene benefits and stylish appearance of Geberits newest flush plate, the touchless Sigma80, have led to it being awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2012.
Being recognised in the Bathrooms, Spa and Air Conditioning category of these most respected of design awards, judges recognised the outstanding qualities of the Geberit Sigma80, noting that this hygienic WC operating panel is self-explanatory and functional, matching harmoniously with all kinds of bathroom surroundings due to its puristic appearance.
Adding a contemporary finishing touch to the bathroom or washroom and featuring built-in technology to offer the very latest touch-free operation making activation simple and hygienic, the Sigma80 is activated just as soon as movement is detected. Simply wave your hand in front of the shorter light on the right for a single flush and in front of the longer light on the left for a full flush.
A coloured light effect is shown when the toilet is flushed, after which the plate automatically returns to standby mode, with no lights visible, when the user leaves the room. And when using the WC after dark, the lighting on the flushplate acts as an orientation aid.
Whats more, the flush plate has a self-learning sensor that learns about its surroundings, while its touchless operation not only means that it is simple to operate by all, but also makes it ultra hygienic and eradicates the problem of unsightly fingermarks being left behind on its stylish black or mirrored glass frontage.
The award-winning Sigma80 offers a choice of five lighting colours and is suitable for commercial and domestic applications, being simple to install alongside Geberits Sigma concealed cisterns.
While an automatic flush ensures the toilet is always left clean when used in a commercial setting, the default settings can be easily adjusted during installation to suit the needs of domestic customers too.
